Book Report #1 Tommy Schneid Science Fiction Period 8 14 October 2014 Brave New World Aldous Huxley 259 Pages and 18 Chapters Essay 1 9/28/2014 Pages 1-32 Brave New World written by Aldous Huxley immediately shows the scientific discoveries that are happening in the future. Chapter one starts out with showing amazing ground breaking scientific actions for example human cloning and very fast production of human life. This is all being done in a futuristic government ran factory specifically for creating human life. The human life is made in the factory and are split up into five castes or â€Å"groups† which are Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta, and†¦show more content†¦Even during their off hours they are still somehow helping the government. They also have trained infants to hate things like books and flowers. All of these efforts by the controlive government is to help the economy and raise productivity. As it transfers into the third chapter we learn that the clones that the factory makes are treated very poorly they are not even wearing clothing while outside on recess. They are considered a misfit or not due to the comfortability of their sexuality. We also learn about how some of the characters absolutely hate what the director is doing to the children and the emotions they would be feeling. Also some Castes are born to hate certain things such as nature, which the government has blocked off due to them thinking that nature is a distraction to the futuristic society. Essay 3 10/2/2014 Pages 69-116 In chapter four, five, and six we learn about more new characters and what roles they will be playing in the story. Bernard Marx is introduced to us as an Alpha male who fails to fit with other people. In most of story he is considered to be a misfit and not fit in with others. He has odd conversations with a man named Helmholtz and we find out that he has a slight obsession with a girl named Lenina. This is a huge problem because if he gets caught it counts as disrespecting the World State which you never would want to do or horrible things can
